Football Update #16

Player of the Week
Ved (Year 11) made a fine save with his feet in the last minute to earn the 1st XI a draw away versus City of London and then kept a clean sheet three days later against King Edwards. Another Year 11 pupil who helped their team to an impressive win is Jack, who was everywhere for the 3rd XI in their win over King Edwards. Aitan (Yr 10) covered every blade of grass for the U15Ds, driving them forward and Dhillan (Yearr 9) had the same influence on the U14Ds. Player of the Week is the U14Cs star striker Adi (Yr 9) who got himself a fantastic five goals in their game.
Team of the Week
The 4th XI did well to hang on in their game versus City of London. They raced into a 3-0 lead, but then had to dig deep to score a last-minute winner to make it 4-3. The U12As Surrey Cup dream continues as the beat Grey Court 2-1 - they now face Riddlesdown in the quarter finals. We had an excellent competitive block of fixtures against King Edwards Witley on Saturday. Our junior C and D teams performed admirably, all playing up a level. The U14Cs and U14Ds both recorded good wins, but the Team of the Week are the U15Ds who worked tirelessly for each other to win 3-1 away from home.
