Year 9 pupils visiting Germany saw a range of cultural and historical sites in Cologne and the Rhine Valley.
As well as a trip along the Rhine, a cable car ride above the picturesque town of Rüdesheim, a visit to the stunning ‘Burg Eltz’ castle, a survey of the locals in Bonn market square, and a visit to Cologne cathedral, pupils also enjoyed a visit to a chocolate museum!
As ever, this was valuable opportunity for pupils not only to put into practice the German they have learned in class, but also to discover and enjoy the history and culture of an iconic region of Germany.
