How you can help support Wilson's
It is only through our community becoming involved and working together that our targets will be met. We hope that as many members of Wilson’s community as possible will contribute to the campaign at the level most appropriate for them.
Major benefactors have the opportunity to associate their names – or the names of their families or companies – with any of the campaign projects. Support is being sought at all levels, and every donation – regardless of amount – will be commemorated in a special donors’ book at the School.
Tax-efficient giving
Wilson’s School, through its linked charity, the Wilson’s School Trust CIO (charity number 1184877-7) can recover tax via the gift aid scheme on donations made by UK taxpayers. This increases the value of the gift to Wilson’s whilst offering the potential to decrease the cost to donors through tax recovery.
The best ways of giving are generally:
- by giving a series of regular gifts
- one or more lump sum gifts
- through a company (companies can offset their donations against their liability for Corporation Tax)
- through a tax-exempt charitable trust or foundation
- by direct transfer of assets, such as stocks, shares, property and works of art
